The Gauteng Provincial Government congratulates Benoni Premier League on its
promotion to the Premier Soccer League. The good wishes are extended to coach
Sonas Malope, players and the management of the club following their stunning
win at the Mvela League Platinum play-off final against Vasco da Gama at
Bellville Stadium in Cape Town yesterday.

"On behalf of the Gauteng residents and the Provincial Government, well done
to the Rabbits team for their sterling performance during yesterday's match and
their promotion to the PSL," said Gauteng MEC for Sports, Arts, Culture and
Recreation Barbara Creecy.

"At the moment our province prides itself with the Gauteng based
professional teams in the PSL. Benoni Premier League brings the number of PSL
clubs in the province to eight," said Creecy. "The promotion of the Rabbits
marks yet another milestone in the development of Gauteng as a home of
champions, an initiative launched in 2004 with the Vodacom Challenge soccer
tournament.

"To the team, players and management of the Benoni Premier League, we wish
you every success in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). The people of Gauteng
will be with you every step of the way," said Creecy.
