The Eastern Cape MEC for Agriculture, Mr Gugile Nkwinti, in popularising the
departmental policy and priorities, will be having a two day interaction with
the departmental extension officers from the six districts of the Eastern Cape
on the 25 and 26 April 2006 in Good News Centre, King Williams Town.
The purpose of this gathering is to ensure that there is a common
understanding of the departmental programmes and policy by all officials. The
extension officers became the target for this kind of interaction because they
are the engine and foot soldiers of the Department.
The workshop proceedings will be structured such that there are presentation
and discussion sessions that will improve service delivery. This interaction is
the first of its kind in his term and the first phase of the road shows that
will be rolled out this quarter in the entire province to achieve the same
objectives.
The Department aims to ensure that departmental officials have a common
understanding of the departmental policy and programmes.
