Public Service and Administration Minister, Ms Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi,
will on 7 November 2006, pay unannounced visits to various public service
delivery points in the West Rand, Gauteng.
Sites to be visited include Leratong Hospital, Thusanang Lower Primary
School and the Kagiso Police Station.
Crime and violence in schools have been dominating public discourse lately
and Minister will engage with the issues as she visits the various service
delivery points.
The unannounced visits are amongst activities that will form part of the
Public Service Week which starts on 6 November until 10 November. The Public
Service Week initiative is part of the Batho Pele Revitalisation Programme that
aims at ensuring that services are delivered according to the set Batho Pele
principles.
