The Chairperson of the (APRM) Governing Council in South Africa, Minister
Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi, will receive Parliament's self assessment report on
Thursday, 16 February 2006.
The APRM is a country self-assessment process, voluntarily acceded to by
member states of the African Union (AU) to assess the performance of their
countries in the areas of Democracy and Good Political Governance, Economic
Governance and Management, Corporate Governance and Socio-Economic Development.
Parliament's report was compiled by four ad hoc committees appointed by both
houses of parliament.

report, which is to be debated at the second National Consultative Conference
