Minister Fraser-Moleketi to hand over the APRM Country
Self-Assessment Report

Minister for Public Service and Administration Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi is
to hand over the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Country Self-Assessment
Report (CSAR) and the Programme of Action (POA) on 12 July 2006.

The handing over ceremony, which also sees as the official launch of the
Country Review Mission, will be attended by President Thabo Mbeki who will make
a brief address on South Africa’s APRM process.

South Africa is to host the ARPM Country Review Mission as from 11 July to
25 July 2006.

The country review team led by Professor Adebayo Adedeji of Nigeria will
consult with parliamentarians, government, political parties, business and
civil society representatives on the country report prior to its release.

South Africa’s APRM process has been led by Minister Geraldine
Fraser-Moleketi as the focal point and the Chairperson of the APRM Governing
Council.
