Public Service and Administration Minister Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi invites
all media to a press briefing at which a major announcement with regard to
public sector trade unions' involvement in the Government Employees Medical
Scheme (GEMS) will be made.
The press briefing will be held on Thursday 22 June 2003 at the Batho Pele
House (corner Proes and Schubart streets, Pretoria), at 13h30. GEMS is a
medical scheme for public service employees, registered with effect from
January 2005 to address challenges related to the current provision of medical
assistance to public servants by government.
