The Minister for Public Service and Administration, Ms Geraldine
Fraser-Moleketi, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Cabinet's Governance
and Administration (G&A) Cluster, will present progress with regard to the
implementation of the Government's Programme of Action.
The G&A Cluster is made up of the Departments of Public Service and
Administration, Provincial and Local Government, Home Affairs and the South
African Management Development Institute.
Some of the priorities of the Cluster include human resource management
interventions, anti corruption, the creation of a Single Public Service,
integrated service delivery, Batho Pele, Participatory governance, mainstream
hands-on support to Local Government, the structure and governance arrangements
of the state, etc.
Minister Fraser-Moleketi will also touch on the outcomes of the Second
National Consultative Conference of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM),
held on 4 to 5 May 2006 in Kliptown, Soweto.
