Bureau meeting in Nigeria

Public Service and Administration Minister Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi, who
also serves as the Chairperson of the Fifth Pan-African Conference of Ministers
of Public Service, will attend a Ministerial Bureau Meeting of the African
ministers in Abuja, Nigeria, from 25 to 26 April 2006.
The Ministerial Bureau will look at ways and means to mobilise resources in
support the Pan-African Ministersâ programme of action. The Ministerial Bureau
meeting presents the right forum to evaluate available resources and explore
alternative sources of funding for the Ministersâ programme.
Among other pressing matters, the Ministerial Bureau will discuss work plans
for the Ministersâ programme, celebrations of the African Public Service Day
[held on 23 June annually], United Nations work and areas for collaboration,
the report of the African Management Development Institutes Network (AMDIN),
resource mobilisation initiatives and the report of the ministers' Project
Steering Committee.
