Public Service and Administration Minister Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi will
address senior public service managers from across the country in a Senior
Management Service (SMS) Imbizo, to be held at the University of the Free State
on Friday, 24 February 2006.
The aim of the SMS Imbizo is to communicate government's mandate to senior
managers from the three spheres of government. Minister Fraser-Moleketi will
use the SMS Imbizo to emphasise the important leadership role that senior
public service managers can play in delivering government services.
The 2005 SMS conference, held in Fourways, Johannesburg, focussed on the
capacity needed to implement government's Programme of Action and enhancing
leadership development through information sharing and learning sessions.
