More than 3 000 members of this small Eastern Free State community witnessed
this memorable event and participated enthusiastically in the programme.
Activities to promote the services of the library included amongst others a
mother and toddler session, during which Ms Jimmy Peacock of Smile Education,
introduced mothers of the community to the brand new toy library and explained
how educative and constructive play build new readers.
This new library is a one-stop service that includes a Government
information service, a literacy corner, a business information service, a toy
library, a computer room with eight computers sponsored by ABSA and much, much
more.
