The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in the Free State in partnership
with South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will host the 2007 South
African Sport Awards on 7 December 2007. The Media launch of the South African
Sport Awards will be held as follows:

Time: 12h00
Venue: President Hotel in Bloemfontein.
On 7 December 2007 Sportsmen and women will be awarded the South African
Sport Awards in the following categories:
* Sport Star of the Year
* Sportsman of the Year
* Sportswoman of the Year
* Sports Team of the Year
* Disabled Sportsman of the Year
* Disabled Sports Team of the Year
* Newcomer of the Year
* Personality of the Year
* Coach of the Year
* Volunteer of the Year
* Steve Tshwete Lifetime Achievement Award
Winners will be awarded prizes made of Pure Gold and Platinum, making these
awards a worthwhile event for Athletes.
