Free State Sport, Arts and Culture to host Provincial
Indigenous Games

The Free State Department of Sport, Arts and Culture will host the
Provincial Indigenous Games as follows:
Date: 23 June 2007
Time: 09h00
Venue: University of the Free State, Qwa Qwa Campus

The objective of the Games is, amongst other things, to select a team that
will represent the Free State at the National Indigenous Games event. The
National Indigenous Games will be held in East London from 31 August 2007 to 3
September 2007. The event will take place in Thabo Mofutsanyana District,
Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality and will showcase the following indigenous
games codes: Dibeke, Kho-kho, Kgati, Diketo, Jukskei, Ncuva, Morabaraba and
Intonga. Four hundred participants, 16 technical officials and 20 sport
officials are expected to take part in the event. The media is cordially
