The management of the Eastern Cape Department of Health spearheaded by
Acting Superintendent-General (SG) Diliza met at the Global Life Conference
Centre in Bhisho to finalise the Annual Performance Plan (APP) for the year
ending 2007/08.In her opening remarks before the presentations by the programme
managers, the Acting SG commented on the Auditor-General's report.
The aim of finalising the APP on time is to address and provide the
departments' own imperatives to the Districts for them to be informed of what
is expected of them.
The APP's expected outcomes are to give a clear picture of what will be done
in 2008/09 and also to eliminate issues that are repetitive on the
Auditor-General's report. It emerged from the outcomes that conditional grants
should also be addressed in the APP.
