E Surty to visit schools in Northern Cape, 18 Jan

The Deputy Minister of Education, Mr Enver Surty, will on Wednesday, 18
January 2006, visit schools in the Northern Cape Province, as part of
determining their state of readiness for 2006.

Schools in the coastal provinces, which are Northern Cape, Western Cape,
Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, re-open for 2006 tomorrow, Wednesday, 18
January 2006.

The Premier of the Northern Cape Province, Ms Dipuo Peters, and the MEC for
Education, Mr Gomolemo Lucas, will join the Deputy Minister during the
visits.

The delegation’s itinerary is as follows:

07h30 – 08h15: Dr EP Lekhela Secondary School (Mankurwane Township in
Kimberley)
08h30 – 09h45: Thabane High School (Mankurwane Township in Kimberley)
10h15 – 11h15: Bongani High School (Bongani Township at Douglas)
11h30 – 13h00: Vaallus (NGK) Primere Skool (Vaallus Township at Douglas.)
