The Premier, Ebrahim Rasool, will deliver his State of the Province address
during the opening of Provincial parliament. The speech will address issues
arising from the President Mbeki's State of the Nation Address; it will also
highlight the provincial growth and development strategy.

Time: 10h30
Venue: Provincial Legislature, 7 Wale Street, Cape Town.
Activities will begin at 07h45 when a variety of entertainment will take
place prior to the arrival of the Premier and the first lady, Ms Roshieda
Shabodien at the legislature. Here they will be received by the Speaker, Shaun
Beyneveldt. During this time there will be a procession by drum majorettes and
the South African Police brass band and key public servants, nurses, policemen
and firemen will form the guard of honour, in uniform, to commemorate the day.
