The Japan and India visit follows after the Premier of the North West
province had visited Sweden on a mission where a Memorandum of Understanding
was signed, underpinned by principles of equality, openness, consensus-seeking
and the notion of "win-win" in their resolve to collaborate on some focus
areas, including co-operation and sharing best practices on good governance,
tourism, conservation and environment, sustainable development, small and
medium enterprise, as well as on infrastructure development, education,
cultural exchange and the encouragement of City to City linkages.
"I believe that this visit is more than worthwhile and will assist our
province to take advantage of the attractive trade environment created by our
missions in that part of the world. It will also help advance our Provincial
Growth and Development Plans from an investment and tourism attraction point of
view," said Premier Molewa.
