MEC for Agriculture, Conservation and Environment in North West, Mandlenkosi
Mayisela will on Monday, 28 August 2006, host the Premier of North West
province Mme Edna Molewa and her entourage, who will be on an official visit to
the department. The aim of the Premier's visit is to interact with departmental
managers and staff members respectively, on issues of service delivery from the
side of the department.
It is during that visit that the Premier will get first-hand information on
the progress that the department has registered with regard to the government's
programme of action as reflected both in the Premier's state of the province
address as well as the departmental budget speech.
It is expected that the department will also indicate to the Premier some of
the challenges it is facing, in as far as service delivery is concerned and
what is being done to overcome those challenges.
The Premier will in the morning meet with MEC Mayisela and his management
team and later meet departmental staff members at a broader meeting to be held
in the Agricentre building, Head Office.
Members of the media are invited to the broader meeting that is scheduled
for 14h00, 28 August 2006.
