The Premier of North West, Edna Molewa, will address members of the media
and the North West Press Club on the following matters:
* Following the transfer of the Forensic Unit from Provincial Treasury to
the Office of the Premier, Molewa will give details regarding the Unit and how
it will discharge its responsibilities. Premier Molewa will also reflect on
governmentâs capacity to fight fraud and corruption within the public
service.
* In line with the Supreme Court ruling, the provincial government
established a commission of inquiry to determine the chieftainship of
Batlhaku-ba-Matutu Traditional Community. Premier Molewa will address the media
on the findings of the recently completed Commission of Inquiry regarding the
dispute.
* The media briefing will be held on Thursday, 14 September 2006, at 11h00
at the Bojanala District Municipality offices.
