E Molewa and D Africa to hold bilateral discussions with Belgium, 16

The Flemish Vice–Minister, President and Flemish Minister for Economy,
Enterprise, Science, Innovation and Foreign Trade, Mrs Fientje Moerman, will
visit the North West Province on Thursday, 16 March 2006.

The visit forms part of an official visit by His Royal Highness, Prince
Philip of Belgium to South Africa. The main purpose of Mrs Moerman’s visit to
the province is to develop economic relations and strengthen ties between the
two regions. Flanders has partnered with Invest North West in the past to
develop exchange programmes and are looking forward to establishing new
co-operations within the framework of new business development projects.

This visit is intended to give Flemish companies the possibility of
exploring business opportunities within the North West and will allow Mrs
Moerman to witness the importance of strengthening relations with the Province
and its institutions.

Members of the media are invited to attend as per attached programme in
order to partner with us in profiling the North West Province as a preferred
destination for trade and investment
