On 14 June 2006 Cabinet noted and supported the appointment of the
chairpersons and members of the Charities Distributing Agency and the Arts,
Culture and National Heritage Distribution Agency.
Letters of appointment were sent to members and confirmation of acceptance
was received from 15 out of the 17 members. It is expected that these
distributing agencies will have their first meeting in the next couple of
weeks.
On the appointment of the members to the Sports and Recreation Distributing
Agency of the National Lotteries Board, Cabinet requested further consultation
between the Ministers of Trade and Industry and Sport. That consultation still
has to take place, and is being given priority by the office of the
Minister.
