D Peters to engage De Beers on potential takeover of facilities, 21

Premier Dipuo Peters will be leading a delegation to Kleinzee accompanied by
some MECs and Mayors and Heads of Departments (HODs) to consult on an issue
that deals with the potential handover of a school and a hospital built by the
mine in Namakwaland.

This move is driven by the common goal to provide increasing facilities for
the people of Kleinzee in particular, and the Namakwa region as a whole. The
government delegation will engage with the mine on the readiness of De Beers to
officially hand over these facilities to government.
