The MEC for Agriculture, Mrs Dikeledi Magadzi, cordially invites you to the
launch of the SLAG de-registration campaign.
The SLAG programme, which made available a grant of R16 000 per household
towards land acquisition, was the first attempt by Government to redistribute
land to the poor.
The objective of the de-registration campaign is to:
* relieve non-interested members of the liabilities coming with dysfunctional
projects
* depopulate projects so that project sustainability and productivity is
secured
* ensure security of tenure and investment for the remaining members
