MEC Darkey Africa of the Department of Economic Development and Tourism will
hold the North West Province Business Consultative Budget Roadshow. The purpose
of these roadshows is to give feedback on performance on departmental
programmes and projects since the last Budget Speech and also for participants
to give inputs on their evaluation of the departmental performance. Lastly to
contribute on this years budget speech.
The department believes that to advance in economic growth we need to
network. Exchanging of ideas and challenges is important and it has proved to
be very effective, and it also contributes to the welfare of the country. At
this consultative meeting we invite participants each of whom has the interest
of socio-economic growth in their respective regions.
The targeted group will be unions, municipalities and tourism specialists to
name a few, in four districts of the province: Bophirima, Bojanala, Southern
and Central. Some national departments are also targeted. The first meeting
will be in the Central District followed by the Bophirima District while
Bojanala and Southern Districts are scheduled for April 2007. The last year's
