Minister for Safety and Security Charles Nqakula, meets with members of
labour federations [Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu); Federation
of Unions of South Africa (Fedusa); and National Council of Trade Unions
(Nactu)] Tuesday afternoon (4 September) to discuss a broad-based anti-crime
mobilisation campaign currently being planned by government.
This meeting with organised labour is one of many meetings being scheduled
to take place with a wide range of stakeholders such as faith-based
organisations, business, gender-based organisations, non-governmental
organisations (NGOs), academia/research organisations, etc. on the one hand and
Government on the other.
