I have learned with shock of the murder this morning of Mr Desmond Sterly
(52), farm manager of the farm Ambiance in the Brandwag area near Worcester. I
received the news this morning just before addressing the Grain SA Annual
meeting at Elsenburg and the gathering had a moment of silence.
My heartfelt condolences and sympathy are extended to the family - his wife
Laura, one son and two daughters on this terrible loss though a heinous
deed.
This cold blooded murder is a shock to the farming community and I trust
that no effort will be spared, to bring those guilty of this deed, to book.
