Buyelwa Sonjica in Austria to lead the 51st Annual General
Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency

The Minister of Minerals and Energy in South Africa, Buyelwa Sonjica,
arrived in Vienna, Austria on Saturday, 15 September 2007 to lead a delegation
to the 51st Annual General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency
(IAEA). The conference will sit from 17 to 21 September.

Minister Sonjica will, on Monday, 17 September, deliver to the conference
the South African National Statement. This country statement will cover
different issues of interest to the country within the nuclear arena. It will
also inform Member States of the country's forward movement within the arena of
nuclear.

Minister Sonjica will address the conference on Monday, 17 September.
