Minister Buyelwa Sonjica, MP, Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry, will
join hands with Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and South African Breweries as
they donate water tanks to the peri-urban areas under the Nelson Mandela Bay
Municipality. This generous gift follows a request made by these communities
during the Imbizos preceding the Local Government elections. This event was
postponed owing to the untimely death of former Minister Stella Sigcau. The
tanks will serve as a temporary water supply source and will be relocated to
other needy areas as and when housing developments are rolled out. Areas that
stand to benefit include, Shamrock, Seaview, Fitchets Corner, Woodridge,
Progress Flight Academy, Rocklands, Elandsriver, Fairview Racecourse and
Gedultsriver

Directions to the venue:
* Travel on the Old Cape Road for 40 to 50 from town.
* Pass the Sasol Garage and MACRO on the left and pass St Albans Correctional
Services on the right. Pass the first Uitenhage turn-off after the
prison.
* At the second Uitenhage turn-off to the right, take the gravel road to the
left and travel for 1km.
