(FSSTT) report

Pretoria - The Fuels Strategic Supply Task Team, comprising of role-players
from the Department of Minerals and Energy as well as industry has completed
its report and handed it to the Department. This has already been correctly
reported in the media.
The Minister of Minerals and Energy, Ms Buyelwa Sonjica, MP has acknowledged
receipt of the report and says: "I appreciate the work done by the Task Team.
The Team has worked well together and this augurs well for the process going
forward as there will still be a need for co-operation and sharing of
ideas.
"The FSSTT report is in the hands of the Department's officials who will now
prepare a presentation to Cabinet by way of a Cabinet Memorandum. The Cabinet
Memo will include proposals which will be discussed in Cabinet and decisions
can then be reached. These Cabinet decisions will give direction to the
Department as to which path to follow to address the issues raised in the
report."
The Minister also said that as soon as this process is completed, the final
decisions and way forward will be made public.
