Gauteng Health MEC Brian Hlongwa will tomorrow, 1 December 2006, lead
volunteers on a door-to-door HIV and AIDS education campaign.
Under theme 'Turn Talk into Action' the campaign was unveiled on Monday and
will reach its climax tomorrow to commemorate World AIDS Day.
The volunteers will spread messages of prevention, comprehensive healthcare
and support for children affected by the HIV and AIDS pandemic.
They will inform communities about the importance of positive human and
social values in dealing with the disease.
The MEC's programme for tomorrow is as follows:
* 08h00 - 09h00: Join door to door campaign at Kliptown, Soweto
* 09h30 - 10h00: Speak at Carlton Centre Yfm broadcast
* 10h30 -12h00: Deliver a keynote address at South African Council of Churches
(SACC) gathering.
