Gauteng Health MEC Brian Hlongwa will, on Saturday, 12 May 2007, honour
nurses at the International Nurses Day celebrations at Bonalesedi Recreation
Centre.
May 12, which also commemorates the birthday of nursing pioneer Florence
Nightingale is celebrated around the world to reflect on the valuable
contribution that nurses make to the communities they serve.
Celebrations will be hosted by the Democratic Nursing Organisation of South
Africa (DENOSA), under the worldwide theme "Positive practice environments:
Quality workplaces, quality patient care".
