visit ailing jazz legend Thandi Klaasen

The Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Barbara Creecy,
together with the members of the arts fraternity such as jazz legend Sipho
"Hotstix" Mabuse, Peter Tladi from T-Musicman and the chairman of the Gauteng
Arts and Culture Council, Jerry Mabuza, will pay a visit to the ailing jazz
legend Thandi Klaasen at her home in Eden Park, Ekurhuleni.

Klaassen made an immense contribution in promoting music both in South
Africa and in the international arena during the 1970s and 1980s. As a result
she became an icon of hope, encouraging and educating generations to become
musicians.
