B Cele to open Malangeni Multi Purpose Community Centre, 26 Jul

MEC Cele will officiate the opening of R2 million Community
Project

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Bheki Cele
will officiate the opening of the Malangeni Multi Purpose Community Centre in
Scottburgh near Umdoni. The opening will also be attended by the Mayor of
Umdoni Municipality, Councillor Ntombifikile Gumede and Ugu District Mayor,
Councillor Sthembiso Cele.

This follows a call from the community of Malangeni requesting a Multi
Purpose Centre in order to improve the lives of the people particularly in
skills development and in growing the economy of the area through agricultural
activities and many other activities that will benefit members of the
community.

The R2 Million project consist of the 80 square metre South African Police
Service (SAPS) premises which are aimed at effective and efficient response by
members of the SAPS in as far as safety and security is concerned. The project
was constructed within a period of 9 months thus creating employment
opportunities to the local communities particularly women and youth.
