Cele, applauds and congratulates members of the South African Police Service
(SAPS) provincial task team of investigators and the Serious and Violent Crime
Unit for an outstanding breakthrough in the escort killings.

making sure that culprits are brought to book," said Cele. "I highly commend
police for working tirelessly in keeping to the mandate of ensuring safety to
the people of the province," he added.
"The police fraternity is sometimes labelled as ineffective and inefficient,
therefore it is imperative to acknowledge and congratulate those police
officers who always lift up the name of the organisation though effective
service delivery in order for the public to hold them in high esteem," Cele
said.
"The ongoing killings of community leaders and ordinary members in society
have posed a greatest challenge to my portfolio hence there are comprehensive
plans in the pipeline that will be implemented in proactively managing the
situation, the intervention from my Cabinet colleagues have assisted a great
deal," Cele concluded.
