KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison Mr Bheki Cele
will on Sunday, 9 December 2007, attend the Siyabakhumbula Service to be held
on at Mooi Mpofana Sports Field at 10h00.
The main aim of the event is to commemorate the lives of the victims who
were lost in road accidents. This honour will be done together with the
families of the deceased.
This commemoration is an annual service held by the Transport department to
show support to the people who have lost their loved ones due to unfortunate
roads circumstances.
"It is indeed very disheartenening to meet with people who have lost
bread-winners and you know that the cause of the pain is due to something that
can be prevented, complying with the rules of the road, for the safety of
passengers especially during the festive season" said Cele.
