African Management Development Institute Network Executive Council to
hold sitting, 24 - 25 Jul

Second sitting of the Executive Committee and Council of the
African Management Development Institutes Network (AMDIN)

21 July 2006

The Executive Council of the African Management Development Institute
Network (AMDIN) will hold their 2nd sittings on 24 to 25 July 2006. AMDIN was
conceived as part of the recommendations of the third Pan African Ministers of
Public Service and Administration conference and was subsequently launched on
24 and 25 August 2005 by Management Development Institutes (MDIs) from across
the continent in Johannesburg, South Africa. The purpose of this Executive
Council sitting is to discuss programmes and methodologies that will spur this
continental body into full operation. Members who constitute the Executive
Council comprise elected Heads of MDIs from across the continent.

AMDIN aims to provide a credible platform for MDIs on the continent to share
experiences and collaborate on governance and administration matters pertinent
to the development of the African continent and its public sector institutions.
As such this initiative is inextricably linked to the New Partnership for
Africa’s Development (NEPAD) programme on Governance and Public
Administration.
