Summit

It's been 11 years since government, organised business, organised labour
and community leaders came together for the first time as an allied fraternity
for the good of the country's economic growth.
Following on that tradition, the allies at the National Economic Development
and Labour Council will on Saturday, 9 September 2006, hold the 11th annual
summit at Johannesburg�s Gallagher Estate Conference Centre where topical
economic issues such as benefits, the impact of social dialogue and the
challenges of sustainable development facing the country will be discussed.
Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will deliver the keynote address
during the event which will also be attended by Labour Minister Membathisi
Mdladlana, business mogul Patrice Motsepe, Congress of South African Trade
Union's (Cosatu) General-Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi and community constituency
representative Sizwe Shezi.
Other vital stakeholders scheduled to attend are the International Labour
Organisation's (ILO) Regional Director Regina Amadi-Njoku, the Commission for
Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration's (CCMA) Director, Nerine Kahn, the
National Skills Authority's (NSA) Dr Khotso Mokhele.
Proudly South Africa's Dali Mpofu, Competition Commission's, Shan Ramburuth,
International Trade Advisory Commission's Nomonde Maimela, and the Commission
for Employment Equity Chairperson, Jimmy Manyi.
