The Medicines and Related Substances Amendment Act 72 of 2008 aims:
- to amend the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 1965, so as to provide
- for the establishment of the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority;
- for the Chief Executive Officer and staff of the Authority;
- for the registration of medicines, medical devices, certain foodstuffs and cosmetics;
- for transitional measures; and
- for matters connected therewith.
