Deputy Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Mme Rejoice Mabudafhasi will launch the Kudu Green School Initiative (KGSI), on 29 September 2010, in Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve, Moreleta Park, Pretoria.
KGSI is a South African National Parks (SANPARKS) environmental education initiative, currently targeted for schools in the Gauteng province. It is aimed at improving climate science literacy and heightening the level of awareness and interest in conservation related careers, whilst assisting learners to respond to local environmental challenges affecting their schools and communities.
