Tshantshala Senior Primary to be handed over as part of the PICC infrastructure rollout programme

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Enver Surty will give an address and officially hand-Over Tshantshala Senior Primary School in the Libode Educational district in the Lusikisiki District Municipality on Friday, 11 October 2013. The school forms part of the “One School per Week” roll-out which began on 17 July 2013.

Tshantshala Senior Primary School joins the list of brand new schools that have been opened as part of the ‘’One school a week campaign and has seen the opening of among others Notsolo SPS, Mqokolweni SPS and Ndlovayiphathwa SPS as part of the programme.

The schools are being built under the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Development Initiative (ASIDI) an extension of the broader Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission (PICC) led by the President. The initiative aims to eradicate all mud schools and inappropriate structures, as well refurbish dilapidated and ill equipped schools.
