The Statistician-General of South Africa, Dr Pali Lehohla, will release the 2016 Capital expenditure by the public sector report at a media briefing to be held on Wednesday, 26 July 2017 in Pretoria. The report will provide statistics of the rand values on infrastructure expenditure by public sector institutions (all spheres of government, extra-budgetary accounts, higher education institutions and public corporations.
The report will also outline the amounts spent on capital expenditure items such as new construction works; plant, machinery and equipment; as well as on transport equipment, amongst others.
