North West launches Setsokotsane Operation Centre

Bokone Bophirima Provincial Government has delivered on its promise to establish a Provincial Call Centre to enhance the level of service delivery provided to citizens in the Province.

The Setsokotsane Operation Centre, a one-stop shop for the province’s citizens to get help from government, was launched at the Archives Centre on Albert Luthuli Drive in Mahikeng this morning.

Premier Supra Mahumapelo explained that the operation centre was a combination of a call centre and walk-in centre.

“This 24-hour Setsokotsane Operation Centre will be working as follows: - Firstly, people will be able to come in at any time to raise any problem that they want government to address.

“Secondly, we are going to be receiving calls from all over the Province. The matters that are raised will be referred to respective departments straightaway. The expectation is that within 14 days we would have responded to the concerns raised through the centre,” clarified Mahumapelo.  

According to Setsokotsane coordinator, Jimmy Mawelela the operation centre has already created 15 jobs.

Mahumapelo was accompanied by Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development MEC Manketsi Tlhape, Community Safety and Transport Management MEC Dr Mpho Motlhabane, Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality Executive Mayor Justice Makolomakwa, Mayor of Mahikeng Local Municipality Gosiame Seatlholo and Director-General Dr Lydia Sebego, among others.
