Limpopo condemns attempts of burning public school in Vuwani

Limpopo Provincial Government condemns in the strongest possible terms attempts of the burning of Tshirhunzanani Primary School, in the area of Vuwani today. As the Provincial Government we are disappointed that communities burn schools, depriving our kids their rights to education.

As Provincial Government we would like to call on the Police to strongly act and ensure that those involved in this barbaric acts face the full might of the law. Our view is that we will not entertain mischievous and criminal behaviors.

We would like to put it on record as government, we acknowledge the establishment of LIM 345 municipality as a vehicle to bring basic services closer to our communities. Limpopo Government will continue to work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the areas of Vuwani return to normalcy but will not conspire with anyone to undermine a legally and constituted new LIM 345 municipality.

Our believe, as Provincial Government is that working together we can achieve more. We are calling upon all the stakeholders to work with us to achieve a stable, peaceful and more productive Vhembe District.
