Public Protector Ad Hoc Committee meets to formulate programme
The Ad hoc Committee established to nominate a person for appointment of Public Protector will meet tomorrow (Wednesday, 1 June 2016) to formulate its programme.
The Committee will further determine the information that will be contained in the advert which will serve as a guide for prospective applicants or nominees. The advert will be made public as soon as related processes have been finalised.
Committee Chairperson, Dr Makhosi Khoza, said tomorrow’s meeting will afford Committee members with an opportunity to reflect on lessons learnt from the outgoing Public Protector. Dr Khoza indicated that the meeting will map out a plan on how best to ensure maximum public participation during the search for the new Public Protector.
