Public hearings on Unemployment Insurance Bill happening tomorrow
The Portfolio Committee on Labour will tomorrow hold public hearings on the Unemployment Insurance Amendment Bill (UI Bill).
Various sectors including academia, labour unions, and civil society are expected to make oral submissions at the hearings.
The Chairperson of the Committee Ms Lumka Yengeni said this process is critical as it involves the public in legislation formulation processes. She said the process is expected to involve people from far afield as Boland, Grabouw and Caledon.
