Media statement by President Jacob Zuma on the filling of the Public Service and Administration vacancy
I have decided to fill the vacancy in the Public Service and Administration Ministry, created due to the tragic and untimely demise of the former Minister, Mr Collins Chabane in March 2015.
Adv Ngoako Ramatlhodi shall be the new Minister of Public Service and Administration.
I wish to thank the Minister of Arts and Culture, Mr Nathi Mthethwa, who has been acting as Minister of Public Service and Administration since March this year.
The Minister of Mineral Resources shall be Mr Mosebenzi Joseph Zwane, Member of Parliament, who has previously served as MEC in the portfolios of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs in the Free State provincial government.
Mr Zwane will be sworn in tomorrow, 23 September 2015, at 16h00 at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
I wish both Mr Zwane and Adv Ramatlhodi well in their new portfolios.
