The Select Committee on Security and Justice will conduct an oversight visit to Pollsmoor Correctional Centre tomorrow, with a view to understand progress made following Judge Cameron’s 2015 findings on the living conditions in the prison.
Judge Cameron findings dealt with medical treatment of prisoners, overcrowding, and ablution facilities at the correctional centre. The Chairperson of the Committee, Mr Dumisani Ximbi, will lead the parliamentary delegation.
