From Wednesday, 13 January to Friday, 15 January 2015, the North West Provincial Legislature under the leadership of the Speaker, Hon. Sussana Dantjie together with the Members of the Provincial Legislature will be conducting oversight visits to hundred and twenty-three (123) schools across the four districts of the North West Province to assess the schools’ readiness for 2016 and challenges these schools are facing. The visits will begin at 7h30.
After the visits, the Portfolio Committee on Education, Sports, Arts, Culture and Traditional Affairs will then interact with the Department of Education to see how best those challenges can be addressed.
Members of the Provincial Legislature will also interact with the schools management and the Department of Education and Sports development to see how the Legislature can assist them.
