Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane has welcomed the resumption of duties by employees at Northam Platinum's Zondereinde mine.
"We are encouraged that production has resumed as of last night, and hope that management and employees will continue to keep the doors of communication open," Minister Zwane said.
Minister Zwane further thanked the SAPS for their assistance in ensuring that suspects are apprehended following the killings of the mine's employees, which have taken place around the Northam area.
"We must now focus on the critical issues affecting the sector, including meaningful transformation," the Minister said.
