Minister Zizi Kodwa to deliver keynote address at Nelson Mandela Public Memorial Lecture

Department of Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa will deliver the keynote address at the Nelson Mandela Public Memorial Lecture today, Monday 17 July 2023.

The memorial lecture takes place ahead of Tuesday’s Mandela Day celebrations, which will include the handing over of the library at Zingisa Comprehensive High School, and the unveiling of statues at Bhunga Building Gallery and at the Nelson Mandela Youth and Heritage Centre.

The theme of the Nelson Mandela Public Memorial Lecture is “Living the values of Nelson Mandela”. Besides Minister Kodwa’s keynote address, the memorial lecture will also feature contributions from panelists Dr Siphe Potelwa, Deputy
Chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Museum Council; Vuyani Jarana, Chairperson of the Eastern Cape Development Corporation; Professor Somadoda Fikeni, Chairperson of the Public Service Commission; and Ms Glenda Perumal, Chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Development Agency.
