Minister Schafer to visit WCED Winter Matric and Safe Schools Holiday programmes
Over the course of the next couple weeks, the WCED is currently running a number of holiday programmes during the winter school holidays which will include Safe Schools Holiday Programmes as well as Winter Schools for our Grade 12’s.
Tomorrow, 6th July 2017, Minister Schafer will be visiting Bloekombos Secondary School where the WCED is running a Safe Schools Holiday Programme for learners from Bloekombos Primary School, Wallacedene Primary School and Ekuthuleni Primary School, and are taking part in a programme that focuses on a ‘Creative and Constructive Approach to Conflict Resolution’. The Minister will briefly address the Grade 4 – 7 learners on the dangers and consequences of bullying.
Minister Schafer will also be popping into the Grade 12 Winter School to wish 250 NSC Candidates from Bloekombos Secondary School well as they prepare for their upcoming NSC exams. Grade 12 Candidates at the Winter School are attending revision classes that focus on Maths, Maths Literacy, Accounting, Economics and Physical Science.
